I have a question

I wasnt sure where to put this, since there isnt really an "exhaust section" at least that i could find, but anyway..
I just bought a full catback setup from borla for my 92 camaro, and i was under the impression that it came with clamps to connect all the pipes, intermediate, everything together but then i was seeing various pictures on the net of people with the same systems that have them welded.
My question is, is this necessary to have it welded at a muffler shop, or does it come with the clamps to connect it, and what are the benifits of getting everything welded together if it isnt a must.
Mainly wondering becuase the borla set me back close to $800 and i dont really have $400 laying around to get it all welded up at the muffler shop right now, and i really dont feel like letting it sit in the box until i do get that $400.
Thanks guys

Just get it welded. That way you dont have to worry about leaks from crappy clamps.

If you put that kind of money out for exhaust, why finish it off with cheap clamps that will end up leaking?

$400 to have it welded up? HOLY SHIT!

I can get a full 1-piece cat-back system minus muffler/resonator put on my Escort for $90 at Seeburg's. That's paying for EVERYTHING except muffler and resonator, including labor.

My exhaust systems aren't welded. They're so tight and nicely done that they don't have to be.

Clamps should do well enough. Hell, there's a modification we do to the exhaust of the $120,000 SL55 that involves cutting the exhaust and CLAMPING it back together. Works fine.
