Side Mirror is very loose

i have a 2000 cavalier and the driver side mirror shakes/bounces/wobbles/moves everywhere even when the car is just running, no stereo playing, no driving, and its starting to get annoying i was just wondering if anyone else experianced this before i take it to a dealer and also how they fixxed it.

maybe the internal spring went bad...

is it just the piece of glass thats loose or the entire housing??

Only the glass is loose and its not loose to where it falls off, but just bounces everywhere, ive heard of like a snap ring or something anyone know if you can buy this part separate and install it? or how? another concern would be safely removing the glass without breaking it to install the "snap ring"

youll probably just have to replace the entire thing (mirror and housing) you can get one brand new on ebay for around $40, i bought one and it fits and works perfect
