Flasher location

I'm hoping someone can help. I have a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am and my blinkers and flashers quit working. Unlike the Tin Indians of old I can't seem to locate the flasher unit under the dash and am hoping someone can help. I have most of the panels under the dash as well as my steering column torn apart but can't seem to find the location of the old flasher unit. HELP if you can!:banghead:

drivers side, under dash between the brake pedal and the fuse box side of dash, sometimes they are clipped to the dash, the orig should be thin metal, replacements are usually clear plastic. This car has 2 flasher realays (flasher units) one for the 4-ways and one for the turn signals. If both went out i'd check the fuses first ... strange that they both went out at the same time. If they didn't both go out turn on the one that works (if the 4-ways work) then you can eliminate the one that makes the clicking noise.

When I replaced mine I had all of the pannels on, there is a small door in the lower pannel (between the brake pedal and fuse box side of the dash), when I opened the door the turn signal relay fell out at me, im guessing someone had already replaced it and pulled it off its orig location (clipped to the dash).

is there anything else that isn't working in the car at this time?
good luck, and keep us posted as to your progress.
