i dont own a ford so im sorry if this is a noob question. My friend has a 2000 Focus ZX3 and we bought a generic short ram intake for the car. I got the MAF sensor onto the filter side but the problem i am having is with the rubber connectors. One is a 90 degree bent rubber connector and the other is just a regular straight connector. My problem is that both of the ends on the connectors arent the same size. The 90 bent connector, one end is a 3" and the other end is smaller, more like 2.5 or 2". I stick the 3" onto the throttle body but then i cant connect the piping because the rubber connector is too small to go around the pipe. Im having the same problem with the straight connector. Is there something i am not doing right? Are the connectors suppose to have different size ends and is there a specific way to install it?

did you try to contact the manufacturer? otherwise, unless you can streach it enough to fit it on, you most likely got the wrong hose, which would bring you back to square one calling the manufacturer and seeing if there was supposed to be a different hose sent with it, or you could just go to the shop you bought it from, and inquire about it there (weather it be through email or in person) but good luck with it, and keep us posted

well the fact you bought a generic intake tells you about the quality right there

i went to home depot and they only had the rubber hoses in the plumbing section which were huge and the 90 bend was way to big.
