2000 Calvalier Fusable Link To Cooling Fan

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody else has had a problem with the fusable link to the cooling fan burning out? Shouldn't this prevent the motor on my fan from burning out? I've had a 2000 Calvalier for three years now and every year (yes EVERY year) when we get a little snow the cooling fan freezes up
with ice and when it tries to engage, burns out the fusable link and the fan motor. Seams to me that maybe the link should be a lower amperage to burn out before the fan motor.

My advice to future Calvalier owners. BUY A FORD.

my wifes car is a 2000 cavalier. She bought it new and has never had a problem like you mentioned. Actually it's been a very reliable car.
I would suggest you look a little deeper
