W.I.P:GT-R R33 with engine

Hi!
I started my new project, the other Gt-R, but this time with RB-26 DETT Engine, with big turbo, and some other modification...
So... I thinking about the color of the car...
I think i paint with special color, Midnight Purple.

Nice start! Gotta love the RB26 swap!!! good luck, a little early for suggestions IMO other than saying to add the engine bay items that will add to the realism (i.e. emissions componets and the like). can't wait to see more

Looks like a good start, should look nice with full engine detail and the Midnight Purple paint.

i've been looking for a build like this for so long here! some might not find it that special....but i love this car...the looks...everything...my favourite car i guess. i hope you have some changes?

I think paint with Midnight Purple, and put on an aftermarket brakes(i think i use SMS kit), and buy the 400R kit, and form on a lathe a few stuffs, like muffler, nos bottle, and etc...

But this on hold now, coz not have now the 400R kit, and the Midnight purple paint, and other stuffs...

I'm back for modelliing after the summer, and i'm starting with this car, but i changed my mind, i'm not paint with MNP, coz i can't get this color.
I thinking about the color, and the closest color is the Tamiya's TS-54 Deep Metallic Blue, i think, and i'm spray with this todyay the Bonnet (tomorrow share here a couple of pics from this, and other progress)
and the Interior is nearly complete...

Wow... the hood is great! I can't wait to see the rest of the putty-work done, and see the whole car in that beautiful color.

Great progress, but be carefull with the color, it doesn't cover well! You should prime the surface with something dark color!!

Thx the tips, yeah, i primed the hood before i spray the color, coz i tried without the primer, and it's not great...
And i done with the interior, but i post more progress pics after Christmas, and Merry X-Mas for all!

Just a question. Are there any R33 kits out there other than Tamiya? Tamiya doesn't have the engine, and I suck at life too much to be able to do a build that doesn't have instructions ahahah. Anything out there that HAS the engine? Thanks

This kit, is the tamiya's stock R33, and i bought the stock r32 (that has the engine), the engine is same, but the gearbox is different, and need to cut out, and put on te R33-s gearbox... And build the engine bay, and installthe engine... but the R32 is'nt has intercooler, and i made the pipes for the intercooler, and i changed the stock small turbos a big one. And cut out the hood too, and thats all... I think...

this is rather... AWESOMELY COOL!!! cant wait to see it finished.. i love the skyline.
