Does anyone know of a decent company that does dash refinishing services that does a decent job? I've got a cap on mine, underneath is UGLY... cracks, faded, etc...
And what are reasonable prices for this getting this done?

I'd look into buying another one, Jim. I think they go for around 150ish, I am pretty sure that they cant be refinished..

hmmm... Some of the cars I see for sale have "refinished" dashed boards that look better than new. Nice texture, etc. The company was "just dashes" or something but I can't seem to find it.... and was like $75 or so to have a whole dash done.
Oh well... I guess I gotta kiss someones ass to try and find a new 70 dash... NOT EASY, neither are the consoles or steering wheels.

Well.. sorta. First off I have a problem buying a red dash and then painting it black, especially for $300 and then another $20-$50 for the primer and paint.
But yeah... Year One, Classic Industries all have them.. in red. WTF??? That's damn girly color first off, and looks incredibly shitty after a while.
I found a couple of places that sell refinishing kits for like $100.... I might try that if I can't find a company to do it for me. Has the crack filler, texture paint, primer and final color.... might be worth a try for $100.

Dylan, sorry to hear it, that REALLY sucks. I would make sure that your last day you take the biggest dump of your life in the company facilities, but just before you do... put about 15 paper towels in the toilet... plug it up real good. Leave your lunch floating on top. :sadwavey:
(Honestly though, what do you do??)
I'm feeling friskie.
I'm going to call your old lady and tell to to be prepared for you.... :boink:

Eh, well thanks Jim. I knew it was coming eventually, I've seen an outsourcing of the department coming for about 2 years.
I just didn't need the confirmation of it now. Wife's mom is battling brain cancer, again. And as of last night her dad is back in for heart monitoring. So after seeing her parents health go down we refinanaced our house from a 30 year to 10 year mortgage so that if she has to take care of one or the other, we wouldn't have to worry aoubt 'cause the house is paid for. Which of course means higher payments.
I don't know, I'm being told they'll find something else, but who knows. What do I do, hmm, what do I do? I am a Sr. pension analyst. Although it's intertwound with the payroll department were I started at in the company. I'm really more of tech liason between both departments and IS, and accounting, the actuaries, the fudiciaries and the Feds. Really funny part is the outsoursing will go to Fidelity, who just so happened to have a laptop stolen with a companies employees pension and 401(k) info on it. Good choice guys
