Just to point out there are 2 temperature sensors: one for the computer (2 wires) and one for the gauge (1 wire)
The one on above drawing (this is the back of the engine, near to the firewall) IS the gauge sensor.

THanks verry mutch LMP.
But i think i bought the wrong sensor now.
The one i bought has a connection for two wires.
The computer readings are good. But the dashbord reading isnt.

A resistance test of your temperature sender could help identifying if it is the culprit.

I have replaced the sensor.
What a :banghead: job! No room for your tools and you cant see what your doing. But its done. :grinyes:
The dashboard display is just a little bit higher than before.
But its cold here, it freeses so i think i have to wait until the weather gets a liddle hotter to see if the needle wil go higher now.
Before he would never go to the second markline even if the fan switched on.
I have run the car idle for 15 min and the needle came to the second markline without switching the fan on.
So i think it works now.
Thanks again for your help LMP
