We bought a Sorensen CSS7 sensor to put in our Buick Regal and now we don't know where it goes. Is it for the crankshaft?
Can anyone her enlighten us?

What year, model and engine size in your Regal. It could be either the crank angle position sensor or camshaft position sensor.

Update:
It is the 7X crank position sensor for a mid nineties Buick Regal with 3.1L V6 engine. This is the secondary sensor located at the rear of the engine block not the main one (24X) behind the harmonic balancer of the crankshaft.

You bought a part and you do not where it goes, how was this diagnosed how do you plan on doing this job?? Any possibility you could mention the year and engine?

1992 V6. We asked alot of people about our problem and ended up changing parts - spark plugs and transmission modulator, and the last suggestion was to change this part. Then we bought a truck and put the car aside because we had to drive something. But the turck uses to much gas so now we want to try to get the car working but we have this part and don't know what to do with it.
