Vr4 Vs Acura Tl

well i'm heading north on I-5, on my way home its about 12:00 at night.
as i'm cruising along at about 70mph an acura TL pulls along side of me, red with the driver leaned back hand on top of the steering wheel, jerking his car to give me the hint he wants to race.
my 240lbs brother is in the passenger seat and has never been involved in a race, thought i'd give him a fun boost
well the TL is a mid 14 second car so i'm gonna let him get the first move.
after a mile he's still just doing the same thing:rolleyes: and i'm thinking, if you wanna rae then go
i finally spool up the turbos in 4th gear doing 65mph and let my car move up as if i'm taking off, he bites and punches it...by the time i see him react and me actually drop the gear into 3rd he's about 3 car lengths in front of me.
as i go wot, from 70mph to about 115mph i take back my 3 cars and put 2 on him, all in one gear, i then let go... he stays behind me and i proceed to get over to the far right lane to exit.

brother:why did he hit his brakes so hard??
me: he didnt
him: then why did he fall back so fast
me: cause i blew past him
him: you guys were racing??
me::iceslolan you didnt notice i was doing like 115mph??
didnt you see him jerkin his car next to me??
him: no, i just looked up and seen the car fall back reall fast, i thought he slammed on his brakes or something
me::grinno: na, i just smoked him:smokin:
him: are you serious???:eek7:
me:yea
him: thats just stupid

HE'S 20

for one, in a vr4 you dont get as much feel of speed as other cars
a 1st gen gs-t eclispe feels faster than my car
maybe the weight and good balance....??

second he was laying back in the seat, resting. usually when were driving, i'll spool up the turbo's and get infront of a car or something like that. and he pays no mind to it
so when he felt i was moving kinda fast, he looked up and seen the tl fall back, instead of him thinking we were going forward fast, he thought the tl just hit the brakes cause it happen so fast

Young, there should be links on stealth316.com about hooking it up, if you wanna save the installation fee. It's only splicing/soldering a few wires if you are comfortable with that. Just a thought.

Its never too late to start working on your car yourself. Its the best feeling in the world and it saves you a hell of a lot of money. I started working on my 89 corvette at 18 by taking and rebuilding the engine ,and that was the first time i ever worked on a car. I say if you have a little helper who knows a little you can go a long way.

New mods in the making: fuel pressure regulator, straight exhaust, and 30lb injectors

Have to love smokin someone in the VR4, I love when I take someone for a ride, hit over 100mph and then ask them to guess the speed "feels like 45, besides you cant be going too fast you just shifted to 3rd" lol
