Complete: Fujimi F430

This is the Fujimi kit of the F430. It's mostly stock. The option parts version netted me these wheels and these seats. I did, however, replace the tires because I didn't like the ones in the kit. These look wider, and more detailed. I also added the Accu-Stion PE set, which is great. It's really awesome to be able to see the engine through the vents on either side of the rear window, and through the vents in the back and front. It's just... cool. The brake detail was cool, too, even though I know the real F430 doesn't use metal rotors (or something weird like that) and I did like the PE horse for the rear and scripts for the intake plenum. I didn't use the other PE badges, because they would look to thick. The PE windsheild wipers are cool! I don't think I'll ever go back to the plastic kit ones. I also added seatbelts, and a "Let's Go: Greece!" tour book, and there's a paper Greek license plate as a placeholder until I find my decal paper. The sign on the building is for Athens Luxury Import - the idea behind this one is that if I went back to live in Greece, this'd be my knock-around car while I stayed at the Grande Bretagne, island hopped, drank plenty of Ouzo, and chased hot, topless Greek girls on the beaches.

Will,
can you post a picture of the area you used for taking these photographs? It looks just as impressive as the model itself. Simple yet impressive and realistic.

Wow! That's just amazing! You should stop teasing us by posting your actual car and telling us it's a model.
But seriously that is just :smokin: :smokin: :smokin: and the mesh looks incredible. Speaking of which what set is that because I didn't know acu-stion bought out one for the F430. I checked while typing this message and couldn't find it on HLJ.

Thanks guys for the kind words!
The PE is from Accu-stion, I couldn't find it on HLJ, but Mediamix Hobby had them, which is great, because they ship with a quickness.
Here is my backdrop, with my Civic on it:

Damn it Willimo! That bloody 1/24 car and diorama are so cleanly built that they still look like 1/1s in that picture even though my eyes tell it can't be so!!
How DO you do that?!?!?
Or maybe you've gone for an infinately regressing diorama scenario? A diorama within a diorama within a diorama within a ..... ;)
The Ferrari BTW is just unbelieveably well built - inspiring stuff!

fantastic model here. althou I never really got into these, I sure appreciate the beautiful workmanship and suberb skills you have. I love these models that look so real that you swear its a pic of the actual car, reflecting the patience of the builder. I recognise that backdrop too, I had no idea it was yours, lol. great work!

Very nice model. Looks almost real.
The plates on it though means the car is not registered in Athens...
Latest plates start with I and only letters that are common between the greek and latin alphabet are used. Something like IEX-8140
And the sign on the building..... well english dont translate that easily into greek...full points for trying though:grinyes:

Excellent job willimo. That paint job is amazing.
What color did you use for the leather interior?
Tamiya Flat Flesh, Orange, and a touch of Clear Orange, and mixed until it looked right.
The car was meant to be registered on Kephalonia. And yes, my Greek was pieced together poorly - I guess I shouldn't have posted it online, where people know better, and kept it just for us Americans who see cyrillic and think, "It's all Greek to me." :grinno:

Nah!!! It's ok . And if you should want any help in the future just say the word.
By the way if you should drive a car like that in Kefalonia , you 'd be driving around in a rental within the hour. The Ferrari would have been left behind in the depths of a pothole or something..
P.S the greek language doesnt use the cyrillic alphabet by the way(although that was invented by two greek monks too), it uses the greek alphabet- I hope this doesnt make you mad again
