bugs in intercooler

if i dont remove bugs from the intercooler...would it damage the intercooler?

But if you don't like the bugs just go buy some screen with pretty big squares and cut it out to fit over your IC.

yeah, the debris that can get in there can actually be quite a nuisance. use a screen to keep out the riff-raff.

Do like most people I know and put a mesh screen on the bottom of the hood and it stops EVERYTHING from hitting and screwing up the little fins on your intercooler.

Wouldnt that disrupt the airflow into the FMIC? That is, if your car has an FMIC srtup.

If it did, then the WRC cars wouldn't have mesh screens in front of their intercoolers to keep gravel and debris off them.

Considering the WRX is a top mount unit with a scoop to direct the air, and anything else, onto the intercooler, a mesh screen under the hood is not a bad idea to keep the worst off.
