Hard wiring DC->AC inverter...

What's the best way to hard wire a DC to AC inverter into my '96 Aurora. Is the fuse box the best way to go?
I don't know a whole lot about cars, so please explain...

I did this - purchased a DC-to-AC converter that was intended to plug into the lighter, removed the lighter plug and wired it directly behind the globe box. Then I ran a 110v short "extension" cord from the plug to a flush-mounted plug on the structure between the driver & passengers legs - voila a 110v plug in my car!!!

You could connect it directly to the battery under the rear seat, with the appropriate gauge wire and fuses.
