Is the Rocky Road lift kit worth a damn? What I want to do is put 30's on my XJ Sport with a 2" lift. Their kits look praticle and easy to install. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Just did one.
Lift kit is good. Not easy to install though because the whole suspension needs to come down. Good low price, but a lot of work.
They don't give any detailed instructions at all.
You have to fight rust and do some heavy duty automechanics. Had to use air chisel, die grinder with cutoff wheel to get some rusty parts off. Took about 8 hours plus.
I used spring compressors on the front springs, but I still had to pry them in. Again, no instructions on what you have to take off, such as sway bar ends and track bar.
Make sure you check clearance with the new rear shackle. It was touching my bumper mount bolt, that took me about a week to see because it was not easy to see because I didn't work in enough light.
Could have saved a lot of time, if they provided the steel bushing that you need to remove off of the old shackle. Took hours to cut and press that out of there. Could of bought a new one if the hardware store or parts store had one.
Also lowered the transfer case mount about 1/2 inch using about 3 washers to reduce drive shaft angle. My Jeep is a 97 Sport 4x4 2 door.
Yeah, took two plus days to install and about 2 weeks to make smooth driving. All is good now....I think you can get 30's in easy, even 31's.

i have a 96.. i bought the 2 inch kit The previous post is correct the instructoin SUCk but i took mine to a shop and they put it on for me for $70 well worth the money, also i do recommend that you either buy or make spacers to drop your transfer case otherwise you will have some annoying vibrations to deal with. i work at a metal fab shop so i just made mine. Its a good kit, makes your jeep look great, also you may want to locate some longer shackle bolts the stock ones didnt work for me after they put it all together, you can get them pretty cheap

How much did you lower the transfer cases (in inches)?
What did you use and how did you fabricated the mount adapter?
Thanx for you help.

mine were made from stainless steel bar, it was two inches high so it was just what i wanted, i just measured the lenght of the transfer case arm and marked my holes then i cut the bars to length. Rocky road sells these if you cant make them yourself. other company's make different kinds but all do the same thing.
also try this link its what mine look like except i only needed 2 of them
