back doors wont open

i have a 94 cutlass 4 door both rear doors wont open power locks work good i cant seem to open them from the inside or from the outside can someone help

I have the same problem with a car just like yours, except it'a a 95 model. Everything seems to work fine except the doors simply will not open. Any ideas?

sounds like the handle is out of adjustment (more common with the coupe than sedan). My 1990 Grand Prix STE also needs to be adjusted.

First of all, try to open the door from the outside. When you lift the handle, pull up REALLY HARD (but do NOT break it). See if that will pop it open.

If it does not, you will need to remove the door panel from the interior, and manually pop it open. Then you can adjust it, and 9 times out of 10, problem solved.

I will try to get some pics when I do it to my 1990 Grand Prix STE. That way you can see how to manually open the doors like that, and how to adjust the rods.
