Cleaning hoses??

What do u guys recomend to clean the hoses and wires in the engine bay. Some1 had told me to use armoral leather wips, since it has a shiny appearanc eto it. Any1???????

WD-40 and silicon spray works well and doesn't hurt the hoses or wires.
