Hey Europe! haven't posted in here for a while and I'm not the only one if I look at the posts here :)

I've done some mods to my car so I thought I'd take a pic and post it here.
I installed an intake and hood"dempers" (?) I really don't know how these things are called in English, I don't even know how they are called in Dutch! they are the 2 things on the sites of the hood to keep it open :)
The intake pipe is from a CRX VTEC (which has the same engine bay)
and the filter is a K&N cone filter. I know a CAI is better but I just didn't want a CAI and with the battery between the intake and the engine and cold air from underneath the filter I think I'm ok. Maybe I will make some sort of heatshield for the filter or something I don't know.

here's a pic

Next are a front and rear upper strut brace. I'll keep you guys updated :D
oh yeah, the blue hose and the blue thing at the end of the pipe are temporary, they are gonna be black or red or something.

He Bracer, indeed long time no hear :D

But it looks good, same pipe as mine I believe
Do you have a increase in sounds also???

I think the word you were looking for is "powerlift", at least thats how they are called
in the Autostyle catalogue, what kinds do you have???
I thought they were only available for the Rex?

Thanks Civic_1.6_16
Powerlift that's the word I was looking for :)
The are the Autostyle ones the brand is bonrath, pretty good quality.
And you're right they only make them for the CRX but they fit the Civic fine (engine bays are the same ED9-ED-Civic / EE8-EE9)

Actually I expected more sound but there isn't really much difference. The only difference I notice is that the VTEC cross over point is louder and more noticeable. I like that and it looks great also so I'm happy with it.

btw, did you ever bought that CRX bumper you were talking about?

No I didn't wanted to risk it that it might not fit right
OK it is a CRX bumper and people from SLH told me that it would fit no problem "minor modification"
But then I thought that it might look strange if I would just have the front bumper and not the rear
Then the car would get a strange shape I think

Do you think the Bonrath powerlifts would fit a ED7 to??

ah I see, wise decision I think.

Those powerlifts should fit your car fine. It says for CRX ED9/EE8 in the autostyle book and since the ED9 hood fits on all ED Civic's the lifts will fit 100%.
You do have to drill 2 holes wether it's a rex or a civic.

Thanks guys,

And no I don't clean it every time I wash the car, I should, be I don't ;)
It was just that when I bought the car last January the engine bay was pretty dirty so I decided to clean it. Once it's clean you just have to open the hood every now and then to maintain it.

Like the others already said your engine bay looks very nice!! And with the strut bar it will even look better. Good job! :)
