Crankshaft bolt removal

Can anyone tell me how to get the crankshaft pulley wedged so I can get the bolt off? I am replacing the timing guides etc. and I just can't seem to budge the bolt!!! :banghead: I have been without my truck since Oct. (a shop told me I needed a $2000.00 engine rebuild job!) I figured I couldn't mess anything up....so I dropped the oil pan....found plastic...so it is more like a $200.00 job....I finally have my parts and am anxious to get the job done. My 13 year old grandson helped break loose the cam bolt. Can someone help me out Thank you so much. Maggie :)
