right door doesnt work

well i was installing new speakers in my right door and oddly enough after installed them they didnt work, so i was messing around to figure out the problem and ive come to the conculsion that the entire right door is dead. i tried plugging everything back in figuring there was circut or something that i didnt ground out. well even the light on the bottom of the door doesnt work...... what do i do to fix this? o yea it is a 2004 gm sierra, extended cab. thanks
