Some Concerns....

Hello there;
I have not posted a thread in awhile because, my car was in the shop having body repair done since someone hit me from behind real bad.I have some concerns with my car....
98 grand prix gtp 99,200 miles
a) I notice when I slow down and use my brakes that the back right tire makes a clutching sound. This only happens when I lightly put on the brakes but, the more I push on it the sound goes away. I figured it is my brake pads but, I just changed my back brake pads and thought maybe that the acutal pads are smoothed down due to them getting wet and that they need to be roughed up a little. But, this sound is so loud I have never heard it like this. Is there something else that could cause this kind of sound?
b) my front brakes are making a squeeking sound and I am thinking maybe it's the rotors and they need to be changed. I have not changed my front brake pads in a really long time and was thinking about changing those and maybe that would fix the problem. Is it the rotors or something else?
c) Is there way I could hear or notice if the axle needs to be replaced? I just don't want the thing to snap one day.
d) I am getting this puffing sound coming from the exhaust, it is not in any way loud. I was thinking maybe it is the catalytic convertor. What can cause this puffing sound? I didn't get to really notice but, I do think smoke comes out puffing it is just a sound. I know it could probably be a lot of things.
e) Lastly, I notice my speakers in the door are starting to go and want to replace them but, I also want to replace those little small ones on the door. Can I buy the speakers myself and replace them? Where can I get those little small speakers at?

a and b both sound like brake pad or caliper slide hardware need replacing. there is really no way to determine if an axle is getting worn until either they start to make noise or the boots that hold the grease in start to leak. the puffing sound, unless very prnounced and different than how the car usually sounds, could be normal, or a little moisture in the exhaust. Infinity makes a direct replacement set of speakers for GP's with the small tweeters uo by the mirror. They sound phenominal and are easy to install. The hardest part is getting the door pad off.

It's according to the source of the moisture. Internal combustion engines make a lot of moisture when they are first cranked. That's why engines and exhaust systems last longer on cars where they are run to a normal operating temperature, the heated engine will burn off the condensation.
If the source of your moisture is a gasket leak, well, that would need to be repaired.

I am having some squeaking noises coming from my supercharger after I changed my pulley to 3.0 The sound disappears if I push on the gas and comes back when I idle. The noise seems to come from the actual supercharger and not the belt. Is there a way to eliminate or reduce the noise....

3.0 Pulley??? What mods do you have to support it? You might run a check for knock retard with an autoscanner type meter or program such as Autotap.
Check for noise at the snout area. Squeaking is normally worn snout bearings.
Also, what brand SC belt do you have?

Colder spark plugs and wires, gatorback belt, 3.5 pulley and a new fuel filter. I am not really having any knock retard most of it was eliminated. How do I go about repairing the snout bearings?

OK 3.5 pulley not a 3.0. You had me worried for a while.
The SC must be drained of oil and the snout must be removd to replace the bearings and snout seal. You can either do the repair or get a new snout. The bearing work (removal and pressing) should be done by an automotive machine shop after you get the parts. ZZP is the best place for SC parts or Ed Morad.
