Faulty door switch

My 96 appears to have a faulty door switch because the interior lights don't go off as I close the doors, if I start the car the red door ajar light comes on and stay on even if I drive a few miles. I had to disconnect the battery so wouldn't discharge. Where is the switch? I couldn't find it. Thanks in advance for your help. David

Figure out what door it is and then spray WD40 into the latch or where the wires go in - not sure which one. Anyway, that is supposed to help some.

The switch is located within the door latch assembly mounted inside the door. I sprayed a couple quick squirts of electrical contact cleaner with a straw down the sides of the latch, closed and opened the door a few times, repeated, then did the other three doors. I also followed that up with a application of oxidation inhibitor. That's been over a year ago and I haven't not had any further problems.

Thanks so much, I did sprayed some W-40 and then got some CRC Lectra Motive (electric parts cleaner) and it works. At the beggining it was a bit intermitent so it worked and then it didn't, so I had to open/close the door (driver side) several times. I'm doing the other doors now. Have a grea weekend. Thanks so mucu for your help.
