Running hot....

I' ve noticed that my car needed some antifreeze 1994 buick skylark quad 4 so i added it now it seems to be running much higher in temp...is there a way to purge the system i know it has a closed loop system...does it have a shrader valve some where to release trapped air in the system???? Im sure it might have an air pocket somewhere ....need help Thanks....................

Right now, I've got a '91 LeSabre and a '97 Skylark and neither of them ever had an air pocket issue. If the return hose to the radiator is warm or cool instead of hot when your car shows hotter than normal on the temp gauge, it's probably a themostat that needs to be replaced. It could also be a bad temperature sending unit... I've had to replace a few of these in my GMs over the past 30 years.
