I have a 2000 f 250 4x4, 5.4 that overheats at times. I have a plow on it, when i been plowing this winter it will stop producing heat and twice it has started to over heat, I then shut the truck down and let it cool. it has been to the local garage who replaced the thermostat. The plugs have been changed and no evidence of anti freeze was on them. It runs well going down the road with or with out the plow. I have had this truck for 4 years and have plowed all 4 years. I replaced the ball joints and replaced the vaccume lines for the automatic hubs. This problem started happening after this was done. I have 79k on the truck. Any help would be apprecited.

I woulf try an auxillary fan that either pushes or pulls air through the radiator. Probably one that pushes air from the grill side. This should help.

check to make sure the head gasket is not blown, some times it will leak into the water jacket and cause the temp to rise. This happens mostly in diesels but it's not unheard of
