Is the rubber seal in there already and your just trying to slide the IAT into it or are you trying to put the IAT and rubber seal in at the same time?

What is an IAT? And when you say lid do you mean hood?

IAT = Intake Air Temperature...its a sensor in the intake boot there. The lid is his Ram Air box Im guessing. Upgraded to a SLP or something similar probably...

Got it. My friend took a look and fixed it pretty soon. Im sorry fellas. But i have a few more questions. After installing the lid i noticed a hissing sound, kinda like an intake. Is this normal?? The lid has scratches on it because the hood seems to be hitting it a little bit?? AND i dont know but some kinda liquid is leaking frlom the back of the car. The passengers side. Its not differential oil, because it seems to be clear. I tried sniffing it and it has a little odor. I dont know if its the garage floor thats dirty or its something else. IM REALLY WORRIED CAN SOME ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS. THANKS YOU

Hissing is normal. Much better airflow with the lid.
My hood touches my SLP lid a little as well. I don't worry much about it.

The leak...get under the car and check it out. Could be a couple different things.

Thank you soo much. I felt nervous for a while. Its probably not the lid is it?? And is it normal for a trans am's engine temp to be near 210 in the 40 degree weather with city driving??

You are good as long as your factory dummy gauge doesn't go into the red.
