Stock 1g J-pipe Question

It has that little nipple, Not really sure why, but what did you all do to plug it?? Against my wishes I'm doing a 14b install in the 2g! Did anyone just cut it off and JB-weld it? I don't get what its for, seeing that it would cause one nice boost leak...

Ummm what little nipple? I got a stock 1g J pipe and it had nothing what your explaining. Post a pic of it you know better :rofl: j/k man

Boost source to WG. (ithink) Mine had that also, but I'm not going to use the stock j pipe so IDK. If I had used it I would have cut it off flush and welded it. I don't trust JB that far. If you don't have access to a welder, you could put a vacuum cap and a small screw clamp on so it doesn't blow off.

Vacuum cap it. I had to put one of those on the compressor housing when doing the MBC install. It came in a pack of like 2-3 for cheap.

I have a stock 1g j-pipe. It links to the wastegate. I have an MBC in the line but I'll check it out tomorrow and let you know how I have it all routed. No boost leaks as far as I know and my MBC sticks where I set it like a champ.

they have little caps at vatozone or whatever. Plug it with the smallest one you can, then get a zip tie on it as tight as possible. Problem solved. It was there for a pressure source originally, I believe to the wastegate iirc.

Yeah it' for the wg, it goe to the stock boost control solenoid. If you don't have a welder and want it to look pretty clean (no offense to the other suggestions) you could get a small bolt and tap it and bolt it on, that way you're sure it wont leak, iirc that line isn't flared so a cap would likely slip off.

That answered my question.. Im going to cut it off and jb-weld it after I pollish it.
