99 Durango Liftgate Struts

Does anyone know where I can get the struts for the rear liftgate? I have one side that's sticking when I open it and gives a loud knock when it releases. I put some lithium grease on the rod and it eased the sticking a bit. Thanks.

You should be able to get them through any of the major auto parts stores.

I have a 98 durango and the left rear strut started making noise also.. also, when would open the hatch it "clunks" and shifts to the right a little. replaced the struts and still clunks... all hinges look ok and dont notice anything major.. any ideas?

Maybe the hinges are loose? Get an assistent to help hold the door and remove the gas spring/strut and see if you can move the door around any. sometimes when the door is under pressure from the struts, it's hard to see the problem.
