Mach 1 suspension

People swapping the shocks, struts, and springs from mach 1's to Gt's seems pretty popular. I'm looking for a cheap, drag-biased suspension and have been trying to find a cheap, used eibach drag kit for a while. I believe that the spring rate for a gt is 450/210 and Mach1 600/250. Eibach is slightly higher #s in the front and lower in the back. If i bought Mach1 take-off springs would it help my car squat better? Or should i just hold out for the eibach? The shocks and struts in the Mach1 are tokico and presumably pretty nice. Would they help on the line or are they mainly for curves? I know nothing about suspensions so i need alot of help. Any comments or suggestions are apprectiated.

This is a page i have been refering to. I don't really care what brand i go with. Spring rates alone don't tell how tall or fat it is, just how strong. And i don't really care to drop my car that much. Does anyone know any other sites?

Wow, good question. If the Mach stuff will fit in yours and make it hook better I say do it. But I have no idea about that. Let me do some checking, I'll get a hold of somebody who may know. Probably by Mon.

I called Anderson Ford in Clinton IL. and they said they are the same. They usually know their stuff, they may be wrong on this one but, I would leave what you've got in there.

The Bullett and Mach1 suspension is the same. So if you can find the Bullet stuff cheaper then get it. From what I have read it is a good set up.

If the Mach1 and GT are the same, and Mach and Bullett are the same. Wouldn't the Bullett and GT be the same aswell. Actually, all 3 would be the same.
No, it wasn't any trouble to call them. I live here in Illinois about 30 min. away from Anderson's. I'll send you this months phone bill if you want to make it up to me though.

Oh, I asked them about the spring rates and all that and they said exactly the same rearend and suspension. I guess that's good news if you think about it.

Nope the spings, shocks, struts, swaybars, ect. on the GT are different than the Mach1 and the Bullett.

Well, I didn't talk to Rick Anderson. He's the one that knows all the stuff there. I'll try calling him and see what he says.

Talked to Rick Anderson, he said EVERYTHING IS THE SAME. The only thing that may be different are the axles and the spring rates BUT, that WOULD NOT HELP YOU IN DRAG RACING. That's what he just told me. He said it would be a waste of money to do that. Go to their website or give them a call or call another SVT dealer and see what they say. Good luck.
