What is the proper way to clean throttle body?

Use a can of carberator cleaner. Liberally spray the fluid inside the barrel where the airflow goes (past the butterfly valve). Try to get at all the nooks and crannys. You'll e surprized what black soot comes out.

Thank you yogi_123rd. After you remove screen at throttle body inlet, is there anything there between screen and throttle plate such as a platium wire such as my Saab? I don't won't to ruin anything.
