I want to tightenup the handling of my 1999 Maxima....However, I dont want a rock hard ride or have any rear wheels lift up or have any odd noises......Id like some suggestions....I have read that a rear sway bar & a front tower brace will help the handling...I am thinking about these 2 changes & then changing the struts next year........Can anyone make & explain their suggestions ?......Thank you ....

I wanted the same from my 99 SE-L and here's what I did.

First I got a set of 17X8 wheels and mounted some sticky Z rated rubber on them.

Then it was the Addco Rear Stabalizer Bar

Finally the Front Strut Tower Brace

I got lots of compliments on how nice my car rode and handled.

Then came the next step. Springs and Adjustable Struts. Go with H&R springs and KYB AGX struts/shocks. The ride is still very good and the handling is out of control!!!!!!

except I got the stiffer "sprint" springs.
