I have a 91 SL and am wondering if this is a good buy?

My birthday is coming up on the 22nd and am thinking of asking for these if they have a nice sound to them. And if I were to buy them what would all have to be done? I though I saw in a diagram there was a muffler half way through the piping (mabye it was the cat) so would I have to remove that as well? I also don't want this to sound like a ricer (I can't emphasize that enough). Any advice is appreciated, Thanks.

1) link doesn't work
2) why would you only put on a muffler? Either do an entire catback at the minimum, or leave it stock. Switching mufflers is a waste of money.

There I changed the link. The reason is, is so that I can have a nice sounding exhaust system. Right now with college I can't afford all these aftermarket products and if I could I would have just bought a VR4. I like my car and it is plenty fast for me the way it is now and all I want is something that looks nice and gives off a nice sound.

Swapping mufflers only is pointless.

an exhaust system is only as good as your most restrictive area

You mean the stock muffler?? Or the stock cat?
The stock piping between the 2 is actually pretty good.

take the money you were about to piss away on that, and hook yourself up with a custom cat back exhaust or a high flow catalytic convertor

Remove your cats. Your car will sound way better and you will have more power. Not really costing you anything but time either........
