It looks like a TT. It's either that or an A4. But I think it's a TT. Fucking dumb ass trucker.

Wow. I can't say that I've ever passed a truck, but I have been passed by a truck on a two lane road. Some truck drivers can be idiots, my dad has quite a few stories of idiot truck drivers.

Yikes. I guess I'll never have to question the safety of an Audi.

The driver of the truck was issued several tickets.

Thats it. 16,000 pounds overweight causes a crash and thats it?

That guy in the Audi just made himself a ton of money!

They know when there truck is overweight, multiple weigh in stations that you come across on Interstates and all as well. And if he wasn't on the interstates they still have to weigh there truck before they leave and weigh out whenever they get to where they were going. Maybe now I think about it. thats how it is in a few of the states south not sure bout up there though

fucking garbage hauler what do you expect? they drive with no sllep, long hours.. shitty job and they stink, you should see how many wrecks (or roll) there trucks in a week in jersey..

guy prolly fell asleep or some shit, one accident like this is no reason to talk about all truck drivers in general, lots of them are some of the safest drivers on the road. But most are fucking pricks who don't give two shits about them or anybody else on the road, Thankfully my dad's one of the "safe" ones.

btw, driftinggrifter.. most of the garbage trucks go around weigh stations (take back roads) cause 99.9% of them are always overweight.

I hope that guy sues the shit out of the truck company for loading the truck past its load limit. If the driver of that truck knew the truck was loaded improperly, he should sue him too. That guy is extremely lucky!

Secondly, that news lady is pretty sexy.:licka:

There are only weigh stations when crossing state lines now, been that way for ten years or better. 16,000 overweight is not a big contributing factor except in stopping distance, it would not make him lose control easily. I bet that if we got the whole story, the truck driver was trying to avoid a car doing something stupid. Statistically, trucks are much less likely to get into an accident than cars and a good share of the wrecks they get into are caused by cars. Sure there are bad truck drivers, but I'm here to tell you, the majority don't pull stupid crap like you think, they don't screw with losing their career. Anyone who has never driven or ridden with a truck driver doesn't understand very well. These people who complain and call them idiots, I would like to see you drive an 80,000lb loaded truck having most of your side and rear view being blind spots, through that kindd of traffic or over mountain passes. Those trucks also handle quite well. They can corner very well if the load isn't top heavy, and have great stopping power considering their weight. What gets to me is we all see the blind spot signs plastered all over the trucks, but the next time you get on the highway, count how many idiots will drive right along the truck in his blind spot. Then when the truck needs to change lanes, the car driver cusses out the truck for moving over. I don't drive anymore, but I still give them the respect that they deserve. It's a hard life and it isn't all sitting behind the wheel. The next time you want to call them idiots, remember, if it wasn't for them, you would not have the parts for your cars, food in the store, or fuel for your cars. These guys keep America supplied, much more than the railroad. By the way, if he was hauling locally, chances are he had scales to weigh, but not all places have scales, if he was overloaded he probably didn't know it. They try very hard not to be overweight because the fines are huge. It adds up depending on weight, his fine I am sure was in the thousands for being 16g over, and they don't like that, it was probably more than the load was worth.

First off I do agree that most drivers are good and responsible. But there are a few that do things the wrong way like trying to fight off slepp with drugs or other things. My friends dad was a truck driver and he never put himself at risk when it came down to sleep or getting the load there on time.
Weigh stations only at the state lines hunh? thats weird here in Fl. we got them every so many miles and they are still being used daily, but each state has there own set of rules. Matter of fact I just watched a truck get pulled over earlier today for passing one.
16,000 pounds no matter how you look at it is alot of weight. those trucks have those weight restrictions on them for a reason.
