1986 Regal Engine Swap??

My buddy is swapping a 350 into his 86 Buich Regal which has a 307 right now. What he is looking for is direction and answers. If anyone can lend some info into cost,parts,difficulty,and the different possibilities between staying fuel injected or going carb. He would like to stay fuel injected but doesnt like the sound of some $300 wiring harness for that. So carb is starting to sound a little easier. Any info into this would be great...thanks
The 350ci engine is from a 1991 firebird by the way, if that helps
