Alright i tried to install a aftermarket deck into my 99GP. But it didnt quite work out that great. So i said fuck it and i am going to get a pro to install it. But now that i put the Stock Delco Tape Deck in, The stereo wont turn on.. All the lights ont he knobs and all that light up.. But the actual stereo itself wont turn on... I did blow a fuse, replaced it. And it still wont work... Checked all other fuses to make sure... None Of them are burnt out. Theres Radio Amp fuse and a Radio Fuse, Radio is 10, and Radio Amp is 20... There both fine... Except my Radio Amp fuse is also conjoined into my power locks Fuse spot. So instead of them both having a seperate fuse.. theres a 15 fuse.. one going into the Power locks and the other side of the fuse going into the Radio Amp part. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

No the LCD screen doesnt display anything. All the illuminations on the stereo light up. But the actual stereo itself doesnt do anything. When i turn the key back to ACC you can hear a click noise coming from the glovebox area.... The fuses are in there but i checked my fuses for my radio and there fine. Someone said un-do the negative and maybe it will restart the computer and it might work or something but it still dont work after that. Any tips or if anyone can help me plz help!!!

This might help him Rich.
First he needs to check to see if the radio is physically getting the 12v for power on. Fuses may check good but that doesn't mean the 12v is present. The radio background illumination and radio power are two separate circuits. At the main radio connector C1 at pin 9 is a yellow wire. 12v must be present with ignition switch in ACC/RUN.
Also, at connector C1 pin 10 is an orange wire which should have 12v on it all the time since it is a direct feed from the battery through the fuses.
You can start by checking for 12v at the 15 amp RADIO fuse located in the fuse box by the glovebox. This will feed C1 pin 9 yellow wire at the radio connector.
You can use a multimeter or test light.
The relay you hear clicking sounds like the retained accessory power (RAP) relay.

Thanks Bob, I was trying to look it up, but I've been busy at work. I couldn't remember which color (orange or yellow) was the display feed. Orange should have power all the time, for the station memory and clock, and yellow should be ignition controlled.

Not a problem Rich. I'm on lunch break. I keep the GP wiring diagrams on my personal file server directory at work and on CD at home so it is easy to look up.

Is that one of the Digital Volt meters, with the positive and negative wires coming out? would that work?
