Brake rotors and more

I am going to replace my brake rotors and pads on my 96 S-10 Blazer. Any suggestions on which to get?
Also...people are telling me to replace my spark plug wires and rotor and cap...what would that do for me? I'm curious.

With the brake rotors and pads, you get what you paid for.

I'd go with either the top of line semi metallic pads or the ceramic ones.
Rotors id get the ones that they offer their.Again it goes back to you get what you pay for.

What I recommend is the same thing I do on my own: The cheapest rotors that you can find. The best ceramic pads, (slotted and chamfered, with riveted on shims) that you can find. Bendix, Raybestos and Wagner all make excellent quality pads. Replace and lube all of the hardware. Make sure the pistons are not binding in the caliper bores. Make sure the rear brakes are working properly and adjusted correctly. I've been doing brakes this way for years with no squeaks, fade, or pull and typically get 50,000 miles on a brake job. Keep in mind that yes, I’m old, but the fact remains, it works.

It will do nothing unless there's a problem with those parts.

I agree with Old Master. You can get the rotors at any Pep Boys, Autozone or Advanced Auto and you will get pretty much the same rotor. They typically run about $30 each for the front, and a little more for the rear if you have rear disc brakes.
Definately get the better quality pads, go ceramic if you can afford them. I replaced my front pads with the sub $20 cheapies from Advanced about 8 months ago - had to replace them again because one of the pads seperated and broke apart, did some damage to the rotors. Luckily I was able to pull the reciepts and had Advance replace the rotor free of charge due to a failure of the pad. When I got the new pads I spent the extra $20 or so to upgrade to ceramics.
I really like the ceramics, they are what came OE on the blazers in 99. Less dust, and it seems like they are gripping a little better. From what I understand you can expect twice, or more, the life from the pads over what you would get with the regular semi metallics.
