My brakes were a little soft and there was some pulsating. At 38000 miles I thought simple pads would do. All 4 rotors were screwed up and all on the inside. What gives, cheap factory parts?

Screwed up means what, worn, rusted, scored??

Sounds like the pads were not floating within the calipers like they need to. VERY common on today's brakes. ~4yrs/38Kmi is actually pretty good for GM brakes! The only way I know to prevent this is to clean and re-lube the pad slides and caliper pins around once a year.

Yep, common rotor warping on oe brakes from GM on the TBs. Sorry, but mine are just starting to do that at 59,8xx mi and it is getting annoying.

Yeah, rotors are not even worth salvaging anymore. If you want a totally reliable brake job, you gotta replace pads AND rotors.
