I have a 94 civic hatch with an lsvtec engine. I have just basic bolt-ons and a 100 shot of nitrous... when I was just running an ls motor I was running 9.0 at a local 1/8th mile drag track. Now that I have the lsvtec, which is much much more powerful, The fastest time I can get on the same tires is a 9.2. the problem is once I get out of first gear it wont stop spinning, and if you launch about 3k rpms it spins to almost 70 mph and my trap speeds are only 84mph. I want to get either some drag radials or slicks for my factory honda steel wheels, so my question is, will 205/50r14 bfg drag radials hold my estimated 250hp? or should I go ahead and buy slicks. the only reason I dont want to get slicks is because ive seen many of my friends snap axles by launching to hard. any information is greatly appreciated
