how safe are Scion tCs? I know that the company is generally new, so have there been any real problems with the tCs since they've come out?

Scion is like Lexus, another division of toyota, so you cab bet it's as safe as any other lexus/toyota. It's kind of like a camry or solara, the engine is tuned a bit differently which is reflected by the dip is gas mileage when compared to the I4 camry

and this is without the optional airbags installed!!!

With optional airbags its 5 and 4 across the board. Very safe, i saw one totalled, the guy walked away with nothing.
