serena 2.0td engine help

i own a 1995 nissan serena fx rio 2.0 td automatic imported from japan the problem is it starts and runs a1 but as soon as it gets warm (normal on guage) it seems to lack power and starts missing and dies but will start up straight away when it starts missing plumes of smoke pour out exhaust but if you floor it it stops missing and smoke clears and its off like a rocket until you try to set off from standstill again when it is in park or neutral the engine revs up no probs new turbo fitted and new headgasket fitted after it blew it last time new fuel filters oil changed i cant seem to get any answers off any forums i checked the fuel cap for blockages (ran it without it on )still same when it warmed up im baffled any help please its driving me nuts

got it sorted at last it was a butterfly valve between the air intake and the turbo when i put it in gear the valve closed and shut off all air to engine does anyone know what this valve does it runs off the vacum pipes that are connected to the alternator vacum servo

Hi james, its nice to hear that you already sort your problem. I have also same car with yours, engine CD20 and my mechanic open the engine and found out that the valves(8) clearance are not uniform. I am wondering which is the right clearance. As of now im looking for a engine manual do you have any idea were can i get one?
