Lid question

Ok so im down to the last step and stop dead in my damn tracks. The dam IAT sensor wont come out. I tried but the rubber ring and the sensor wont come out. So i went down to the local pontiac dealer and placed an order for a new sensor and rubber ring. Do u think i did a wise thing?? I didnt wanna rip out the old IAT sensor

It is in there.
If I remember right, I used elbow grease along side a screwdriver.

i also did the same used a screwdriver and got that thing out of there..
