Try 3si.org the forums has a want to buy and a cars for sale section, also try autotrader.com and vehix.com some of the online car sale sites...

honestly for 8k on a second gen vr4 it will have to be in rough shape or the owner is desperate... good luck

Yup good condtion 94's go for 10k plus still. Only way to get a decent condtion VR4 for 8k is a first gen with higher miles.

haha, There are nice cars out there for cheap. I bought my 94 vr-4 last August for $6k. Had 107,xxx miles on it, borla exhaust, strut bars, lowered w/ new ECS struts/intrax springs, k&n, cold air wall, new carrier bearings, 1 owner, mobile 1 all its life ever 2k miles, and it was in excellent condition owned by an ASE master tech. I just happened to find it at the right time online. And it was in NJ and my friends just happened to be visiting me up in VT that week and were leaving back to NJ in a few days. I just rode down with them and drove it back. And the guys house was less then 10 minutes away from my friends house. But before I saw that deal I was planning on spending 10-12k on one. Sometimes its better to wait for a good deal though, now I get to spend the extra money i had saved up on mods:)

pics of it here:

And here are all the sites I would look for cars. I actually made a web page saved on my desktop so I could just click the links and it would take me everywhere instead of typing it all in:

www.thebiglot.com
www.thepartstrader.com

fastfalcon94, that's an awesome deal man. Congrats on the purchase. I'm curious about your SL's interior....when you had it redone, did you do it yourself or did you take it into a shop to have them do it? I'm gonna need mine redone and I don't how hard the process will be!?! Thanks.

I redid the interior myself. I got the leather from a group buy with www.leatherseats.com It took about 3 days to do my first time doing it and made a huge difference. I think there are some more pics of it at www.vtc.edu/users/crd04080/carpc

Definitely do it yourself though, its a fun project.
