Problem starting '90 olds

I hope I'm using the correct forum-If not please tell me. First of all I know nothing about cars. I have a '90 Olds Cutlass Ciera with a "3300" engine (this is the number that's on top of the motor). The problem I'm having with it is getting it to start. Mechanics I take this to don't seem to know what's going on. After driving it for a few minutes and then parking and cutting off the engine I have to wait about an hour or so before it will start again. If I attempt to start it soon after cutting it off the engine it will only turn over a couple of times like the battery is weak. But like I said if I wait about an hour, it starts fine. The car does run hot if left parked w/ the motor left on after a while unless I turn on the heater. It doesn't run hot though while driving (I guess it's being cooled by being in motion). The radiator leaks and isn't in good condition. I was told after having an analyzer hooked up that I needed a new battery. I bought one and the problem went away for about 3 weeks then it started happening again. I'm just wondering what part(s) of the engine needs work/replacing (other than the radiator). Perhap I just need another starter but like I said the mechanics I talked to don't seem to know.
Any help would be appreciated-Mike

The car that I currently drive used to overheat, and there would be radiator fluid leeking into the passenger side floor. It was caused by a worn out heater core.

Mike find a new mechanic!
sounds like you may have either a bad cable to starter or maybe just loose and corroded connections heat will increase a voltage drop in either senerio. Could also be a bad starter but I would check your cable connections 1st.
