97 blazer, 199,900 miles. other than regular maintainance, i have changed ball joints and water pump. last night i went to store, came out and truck would not start. i got spark at plugs. then i turned ignition to on and did not hear fuel pump whine. so i am not getting gas. before i drop the tank i would like to ensure that the pump is bad. my chilton manual says to jump a 12v line to the fuel pump test terminal located near the fuel pump relay.
i would to know where the test terminal and fuel pump relay are located

Relay access in back of glove box, 3 relays in there, far left is fuel pump. The test lead is in engine compartment, driver side behind ABS module. It should be red wire with a connector.

Have you had any unusual things happen while driving the truck in the last two weeks( like dying out and it starts right up or did your insterment Gage's just start acting stupid for no reason)???, when your turn the key to the on position, do your cluster lights light up??? ( ABS, BRAKES, CHECK ENGINE, SEAT BELT LIGHT)????

no, nothing unusual happened. everything was normal, all lights came on. pump just stopped out if the blue.

Then Follow Jeremy's advice, Run a power line from your positive side of your battery to the red test lead near the master cylinder, you will see if the pump works or not...Goodluck
