O yeah this is what happens to your plugs when the screw on your boost controller falls out and you have a boost leak the size of a fat chick and you run rich as hell.

Sweet. I do plugs every other oil change typically, unless I suspect something is wrong with them. But thats the longest I go.

When I had my DSM I tried to minimize my spark plug changes because both times that I changed mine I broke the Wires also. No matter how hard I tried to not hurt them they would always break, and each time they break its another $45.
I never knew NGKs were so cheap?

Yes, it is the best plug for the 4g63. You gap them using a gapping tool found at any auto hardware store, as with gaping any plugs.

You'll know if you car starts missing/studdering in the higher rpms. They are usually good for 10k maybe a little longer. You can also tell, if they were as shitty as mine, by letting the car idle and touch one of the wires(does it shock the crap out of you? mine did:))

Uh...I think they go longer than 10k. I would guess they are good for atleast 25-30k before they need replacing again.

What with the attitude?
Also...l_eclipse_l....Turbo cars must change there sparkplugs way more often than the N/T. I think that 10K miles would suffice if not more often. If and when I get my turbo DSM, I would do sparkplug changes every 3-4 oil changes (9K-12K miles).

I was talking about plug wires, since it seemed as though thats what you were talking about after mexrocket asked. Plugs I agree with you.

haha you could touch the wire and it would shock you. Yeah, those wires must suck. I bought some crazy expensive onsonku wires or something. They're the widest on the market I could find. I can't remember for sure, but I think they're 11mm.
The attitude was because sphyder complained about us posting in the wrong forums several of times. The definition is that if the topic doesn't fit the subtopics, then it goes on the main page. I wasn't asking which plugs gave me the most performance, I wasn't asking about which plugs look better, and I didn't have any problems with them. If a mod tell us to post in the right place, and we do, but it's moved to the wrong forum, that's a problem.

I'm running NGK Iridium. Work great with the screamin' demon coil and OBX wires. I would say change them every 15-20k, dosn't need to be nearly as often as turbo cars.

Actually the best plugs for a 4g63 are the NGK BPR6ES. But thats considering the car is pretty much stock. BPR7ES's are for modded cars. Thanks for the post. I totally forgot to switch mine out, Ive used these for at least 10k.

those are the stockers, those are the best to run if running 15psi or less, 16 or higher, the bpr7es are the way to go

Which one's are you talking about? The brp6ekn or brp6es? i thought the es was stock. I don't see any benefit of a double ground, it's either going to spark to one side only, or spark to both with half the power which would suck.

I called the dealer the other day, they have the 6ekn listed as stock. I would guess the 6es is just the same thing without that extra crap. Obviously the 7es is 1 step colder

The 1gs came with the regular single ground, the 2Gs came stock with the double ground plugs, though no one ever puts those back in.

I went to advant auto, and bought some ngk plug, for my 94 eclipse. The guy pull up the list , I was suprise that BPR6ES-11 was on the list ( stock # 7133) I though it only for turbo, but any way I bought 4 ( 1.77 each ). Is this ok to put in my 94 eclipse. And since Im doing oil change tomorrow, can I use my mitsubishi oil filter ( I still have 4 left from my 97 rs ) on my 94 eclipse ?.

I don't think you will be able to use the oil filter from your 97 RS.
