I couldn't believe it

Tonight was one of those nights where everything was great. got brand new fuzion tires on the J and wanted to take it out for some fun. Heading down a 4 laned road with my system blaring, i looked beside me at the red light to see a girl with a pony tail (she was cute but i'm engaged) bopping up and down in her 2005 scion xb. i kinda laughed at her cause i guess we all look stupid when we do that, and i know i do that too... but i digress
she looks at me and does this notion:nono: and points at the road 3 times...

me being out of sr for a while doesn't realize she wants to run.

light goes green and i hear her engine start to go crazy... she's racing me?

i give it some gas, and bring it to 4k rpm through first through 3rd and by then she's 7 behind me.... i start to laugh kinda hard... i drop from 75 to 40 quickly and she comes up again... honking

i roll down the window

"what is that?"
"a J30..."
"how much hp?"
"215ish? is that thing stock?"
"yeah, just got it a week ago"

"want to go from a roll?"
i wanted to go "can your thing go past 40mph?" but that would be mean.

"sure, 40 till 90 ok?"

so we go on three honks.... i bring it to 5k each shift up to 105 and just by then her headlights are little dots. i slow down.... she eventually get's back to me and i go "nice race"

she goes "man the dealer said this car was fast"

i went "you can beat me in the endurance though"

and turned.

So yea, my J30 beat a 05 scion xb.

I'll give her one thing, she's got balls. Personally I'd be afraid to take that thing past 55 mph. Looks like a top heavy cardboard box.

I also can't believe the dealer told her it was fast. Don't those things have a whopping 95 hp or so??? I hate car sales people, I really do.

and speaking of dealers, i test drove a cobalt and the salesman was telling me it was almost as fast as the supercharged, and the only difference was 30 hp.... i looked at him and wanted to laugh but i kept my cool... it's an ok ride... but not as comfy as i was hoping...

but i digress. i was hoping to eventually take a tc for a race, that or a 240sx, there's a guy on my street with one with intake and exaust with the stock motor who's been eyeing my car... i'm gonna see if i can set that up

that is hilarious!! my university test drove like a cobalt SS, celica GTS, another quick car, and the New Eclipse GS... man was that unfair!! they said the eclipse sucked... and i was thinking... well you should have put some balls on it like you did the others!!!!!

Dealers will say anything to try and get you to buy a car. When I was shopping for my 3kgt I was looking at an SL and he told me it had 300hp and went 0-60 in 5.0 seconds. Hehehe, lying bastard.

God should condemn car dealers to hell for what they do...

Hell, if I became a dealer (car dealer that is), I'd be expected to go to hell immediately after I die. True story...

don't get me wrong, i thought about being a car salesman due to the fact i'm a great salesperson, however there's no stability there and i dont like being a hawk. i did like the styling of the cobalt and the price is in my range... who knows

She probably liked the looks of it and was thinking of buying it when the dealer then told her it was fast. She probably didn't know a lot about cars and that sealed the deal.

Edit: He may have wanted to sell her that particular model because they may have had an overstock, he may have needed a quick sale if business was slow, etc.

well i'm no master of vehicles myself, i know a good bit (not about turbo... ask vip... i look at him like 0_o when he talks about psi and stuff)

but i'm thinking about it, maybe even the playing field of shitty salespeople.

i just know what's fwd, rwd, awd etc but i don't think i could ever sell a xb.... maybe an xa, but the xb.... it's like the platypus of vehicles.

i'm sorta embarrised to admit i raced one of those, but every race is a race nontheless.
