My brother Brian aka Seawarrior is letting me use his username for a post. My name is Shaun and he told me that it would be a great idea to ask you guys what I should do in this situation.
Okay my ex-gf and I broke up about a week and a half ago. And it just happens to be oh so conveniently a month away from prom. And the fact is that I still am into her but she is a little apprehensive about the idea, she doesn't want to want to go with me because of "the momentary attraction" that prom brings. And then we would get back together apparently because she would only be caught up in the whole theme of prom. But I just wish she would just go with the flow and let herself take a risk and see what happens. It's very frustrating, and I have no idea what to do. Thanks to anyone who reads this, you rock then.
Shaun:)

if you really want to get back with her, figure out why it didnt work and try to get her to go
if not, forget her, get another girl. Your not ugly right? You dont have nicknames like herpies face or crabby crotch? If not then you can easily get a girl I am sure.

who cares what a bitch thinks, its all about the males, I'll give you advice from a playa aka b16 civic, "ask her out mop the floor and get out" then dump her like she dumped you after prom. How lame would it be if she dumped you twice or worst, not going to the prom at all cuz you aint got a broad?

ah yes, prom season. bring on the drama!!
from the way you worded it, it may sound like she is flinging excuses. she may not be attracted to you, bro. girls do that, they're never straight like guys, they'll throw you curve balls, make you guess, and give you excuses.
BUT! i obviously don't know for sure. my advise? try talkin' it out, convince her to take risks, see where things lead, and don't plan out a scenario as it may only come true. If you have no luck, i'm sorry, bro. Still, a month away is good time, you'll get back on your game and find a new girl to ask to the dance. anotehr peice of advise? its prom season, don't get too hooked on a girl. i've seen many guys played for prom.

Wow....just wow.
If you really want to go with her just tell her exactly how you feel. If she insists on not going with you'll just have to find another date.

If she doesn't want to go with you, that is her choice. Hey, give her credit for being mature enough for having the forsight not to hurt you more. She knows that if she got back together with you for prom she would breake up with you again after. Then you would be on here wining that she just got back together with you for an expensive prom night. She probably did you a favor, you don't have to spend a buttload of money on a girl that you know won't be around after prom. I know all of us guys think that women hold all the cards and play us as much as possible, and that may be true in some cases. The truth is they get confused just as much as guys do. The biggest difference, at your age, they tend to think more about how things will hurt the other person in a more mature manner than guys do. I have been married many yrs and have a 2 teen sons and a teen daughter, they talk to me about all their problems. The boys are older, but way behind my daughter in making mature decisions about their relationships. So don't be too upset, it never feels good to break up, but it will probably save you hurt and anger in the long run. Just find another date, it's better than going stag and better than missing prom.

You can always grow the fuck up and move on. Sure you may think revenge is sweet now, but when it comes for you to get revenge taken out on its going to suck.
