ok guys this vid is long. 18 minutes. But its a turbo lotus elise, this bitch screams. The first couple of minutes is WARM UP laps....so dont think that its slow as hell when the zo6 flies by him. Watch what happens later to that zo6.

TRUST me you'll know when he's RACING lol. The turbo screaaaaaams, and his car fliiiiiiiies. Seems to be a very very good driver. He starts getting on it at like the 5:20 minute mark, then really gets on it at like the 6:20 mark.

Damn, once he started getting it up into that 6-8k rpms that thing sounded nice. And turbo was like a Peterbilt. That's that Celica VVT-I motor right?

i dunno lol. Last i heard they were using honda engines (b18?), but that was years ago. I find it hard to believe that he only ran a 12.7 with 240 whp in a sub 2000lb car (or do they weigh more now?). A few years ago in SCC they had a stock one with exhaust only and it ran an 11.#, It was compared against the cobra R.....it beat it in the quarter and the track.

but who cares its a track car.....the sweetness.

The Lotus Elise uses a Toyota 2ZZ-GE and 6 speed transmission from a Celica GTS.

i heard its really hard to boost an elise with the toyota engine. SCC said you should swap to the earlier 1ZZ if boost was attainable. I would imagine so seeing that the 2zz runs a huge 11.5:1 comp ratio. is there a list of mods for this car somewhere? just interested..

yea i wouldnt mind seeing whats all done to it either. Its a shop car though....so im sure they could attain whatever they wanted. Makes me dream whenever i pass the lotus dealership right down the road lol. They got like 10 of them sitting out there.....along with a couple of esprit's. F'ing bastards.

oh i figured it out. i was going off this one article that was an Elise vs. Cobra comparison. that one was imported by Sun International, i guess they are the ones that put the Type R integra engine in.
