changing rod bearings?

has anyone here changed their rod bearings in the 420a motor

can i take the oil pan off and change them
or is it harder

I have never done a 420a, but I recommend pulling the engine for your sake. It is always easier and cleaner. Dirt+engine=bad. You don't want to take any chances of getting the least little bit of grit in there.

You have to take your cylinder head off to get the pistons out, to get to the rods, to chage the bearings. Good luck!

Rpd bearings dont "click".. Thet tear the shit out of your crank untill it throws your piston into the side of your cylinder wall, or lets go and puts it into your hood. Could it be lifter tick, or you evaporation controle sylinoid on your firewall?
