94 civic Si Exhaust question

My daily driver is getting old and starting to fall apart. My muffler is rusted.

I ended up getting an axle back exhaust from DCsports (SCS7019)

Now I want to change the Mid-pipes. Where can I get them from? I called DC sports and they don't sell them. What I was told is then a company sell an axle back system it generally mean the midpipes are weld to the cat.

I wanted to know if that is true.

I don't have a problem change the cat/headers if I need to.

Another question is can I just purchase a different "cat-back" system but only use the mid-pipe to connect to the DCsport exhaust?

in my opinion your best bet would be to go to an exhaust shop and give them a bill to have them weld in the mid pipe, 2 1/4 or 2 1/2, whatever you wanna go with. I would also change out your cat before you do that just in case they wanna weld the mid pipe to the cat.
