Elevation Diffs?

ok, i live in NM, about 5300ft and my car seems like its running slow. i just went down to AZ, right about sea level, and my car was stronger then i have ever felt it... does elevation make that much difference? and why is my car slow?????? ok, i know there are tons of reasons that could make it slow, but then why was it fast in AZ?

This usually affects older carbuerated cars but can affect FI cars as well. One thing is, is that the air at 5300 ft is thinner than it is at sea level.

Actually, it will affect all cars. If you think about how an engine works, oxygen provides the combustion, and with less oxygen(i.e. thinner air) you get less combustion. At least I think thats the way it works. This would harm TT cars more than N/A cars, right?

With the thinner air you have less comperssion is your cylinders. And like I said, it affects carbuerated cars more but can affect FI CARS TOO. And as Stealthee said, n/a'a are hurt more because they lose compression with nothing to make up for it and the TT's have turbos to force in more compression.
