Yeah i have a remote starter on my 2002 Grand Prix, and you they have a lil sensor in the key that the engine wont stay runnin without the key in the ignition and when i use remote start , it will start but i have to have the key in there to keep it started. and i was wondering if there is a sensor in the igntion that i can trick or something to make the computer think theres a key in there.

hope this helps you
there is actually a bypass module you have to buy seperatly what is deose it sends a signal to youre stock security so it allow it to start without the key you can buy this module at any store that sells and installs alarms i had to do the same thing to my old truck because it had a stock security butt its very simple to intstall.good luck

You have the PK3 system. The easiest thing (if you have 2 working keys) is to go to the dealer and have them cut a new key and program it to your car yourself. Then go to local alarm shop or car parts place and buy the bypass where you place an extra key inside it.

The module with the key inside will be not seen anywhere. Plus the wheel and gear shift will be locked. Goto www.directed.com and go to the online store and find the 556u that's what you need.

If you get the correct bypass module, for the pk3 system I think it is #2, you don't need to put an extra key in there. The module works on it's own without the key.

Yes, the DEI part 556u is simple 2 wire hookup. The 555g is a little more involved and I don't like it. It doesn't always work correctly. This kit http://bypasskit.com/product.aspx?prodid=GMBP is what I would recomend instead.
